By using the Days of Stay website at daysofstay.com ("Days of Stay", "the Service") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. What the Service does
Days of Stay is a free informational tool that helps you count the days you spend in different countries. It:
- lets you enter countries and travel dates;
- calculates days per country, country-specific tax periods and the Schengen 90/180 count;
- shows informational alerts when you approach common thresholds;
- stores your trips only in your browser.
2. Not legal or tax advice
Days of Stay does not provide legal, tax or other professional advice. Its results are based only on the dates you enter and simplified day-counting rules. They are not an official determination of your tax residency or immigration status.
Tax residency depends on many factors, including national law, tax treaties, your permanent home, family and economic ties, and the type of visa or permit you hold. Always consult a qualified tax advisor or lawyer before making decisions.
3. Your responsibilities
You agree to:
- enter information as accurately as you can;
- use the Service only for lawful purposes;
- not rely on the Service alone for tax, legal or immigration decisions;
- keep your own copy of your travel records, for example with the export function.
4. Your data
Your trips are stored in your browser's local storage and are not sent to us. You can delete them at any time with "Reset data". The Privacy Policy explains what the website collects for analytics.
5. Accuracy
We work to keep the calculations and country rules correct, but we do not guarantee that they are accurate, complete or up to date. Rules change, and the Service cannot cover every exception.
6. Limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages, including tax, penalty or legal consequences, arising from your use of the Service or from decisions based on it. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
7. Changes
We may change or discontinue the Service, and update these terms, at any time. Changes take effect when they are published on this page with a new date.
8. Intellectual property
The content, design and code of Days of Stay belong to its creators and are protected by copyright and other laws.
9. Severability
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
